Database & Systems Engineer
Primary Role: Database Guru & Applications Architect
Secondary Role: Linux system administrationYou love data, databases and challenges. You get excited when you hear high velocity, big data, NoSQL and NewSQL. You're a DBA with a passion for problem solving, new technology and infastructures. You'll be:
- managing all databases and the infrastructure
- building a reporting platform
- performance tuning dbs
- optimizing queries
- preparing for disasters
(Note: the hats are a metaphor, no need to show up to the interview with a Fedora)
Web App Developer
Rails or PHP: Strong
Database: light or mid range
Front-end: light or mid rangeThis position is open to someone experienced with the full cycle and every piece of a web app: backend, database, and front-end. This developer will touch Rails, PHP, MySQL, MongoDB and more! Like Node.js? We're using it right now. You don’t have to be an expert in all of them, just smart and willing to learn. You should be well versed w/ multi-tiered development, unit testing, development processes / methodologies, etc
