What Is Needed:

YellowHammer Media Group (YHMG) is a full-service advertising agency and performance trading platform based in the heart of New York City’s Tech and Advertising scene. YHMG is currently seeking motivated individuals to join the Media Buying Team as a Social Media Buyer, Platform Team. This position is responsible to manage all media buying tasks and strategies associated with direct brand and campaign KPI management through optimization within a variety of social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Must have working knowledge of self-serve platforms and API technology on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and other emerging platforms such as Snapchat, Imgur, Reddit and more. Experience with FMPs and PMDs are a bonus. (Facebook Marketing Partners and Preferred Marketing Developers) – this is valuable if they’ve worked with other FMPs to give insight on their process or tools we could build ourselves.
  • Use Insights Tools such as Facebook Audience Insights and/or Twitter Analytics.
  • Fluency with latest evolutions of tracking and targeting: i.e. Pixels, Custom Audiences, Custom Clusters & Lifetime Value Audiences.
  • Create and test various target audiences including lookalike, website custom audiences, CRM retargeting and other related target audiences.
  • Create and test various ad units including new formats: i.e. Facebook collection, canvas, Instagram story ads.
  • Create and monitor strategy groups and campaigns to optimize performance against client goals. As well as efficiently scale and fulfill monthly budgets.
  • Continuously improve performance through testing and analysis.
  • Thorough understanding of bidding methods and strategies.
  • Develop and implement new strategies for campaign expansion.
  • Deep daily analysis to determine campaign effectiveness and identify opportunities.
  • Proactively report all big successes, inconsistencies, under-performance or any other campaign-related metrics on a daily basis.
  • Create opportunities by staying current with new channels, software, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to setup campaigns, synthesize data & results, identify trends & key findings, and fuel content strategies.
  • Demonstrates passion and curiosity for digital media and actively seeks opportunities to expand understanding and use of paid social.
  • Productive relationships with media reps and internal teams that lead to successful campaign deliverables and high client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years (looking to fill various levels) experience running successful leadgeneration or direct response campaigns on Facebook and other social media platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience strategically managing marketing and advertising budgets with a demonstrated history of over-achievement on goals.
  • Experience composing performance driven creative and copy – We leverage a lot of the creative ourselves so basic photo shop skills and copy writing is welcomed.
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with good follow-through.
